Professional Enclosure Design & Rapid 3D Prototyping
We bridge the gap between your internal electronics and the external world. Our service creates functional, aesthetically pleasing, and manufacturable product enclosures, validated through in-house 3D printing for faster iteration and confident design decisions.
CORE ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS
The Interface Between Technology and User
The product enclosure is more than just a box; it protects sensitive electronics, manages heat, defines user interaction, and communicates your brand's quality. A poorly designed enclosure can undermine even the most sophisticated internal hardware.

At Karson, we approach enclosure design with a dual focus on engineering rigor and user experience. We consider thermal dissipation, ingress protection (IP ratings), EMI shielding, durability, and assembly while crafting an ergonomic and visually appealing form. Our in-house 3D printing capability allows us to rapidly iterate and test prototypes, ensuring the final design is perfect before expensive production tooling begins.
OUR COMPREHENSIVE CAPABILITIES
From Concept to Production-Ready Design
We cover the complete industrial design and prototyping cycle, integrating mechanical and electronic requirements from the start.

Industrial & Ergonomics Design
Developing the initial product form factor with a focus on aesthetics, user handling, button/display placement, and overall brand alignment.
3D CAD Modeling & Engineering
High-precision assembly using automated pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and selective soldering for mixed-technology boards.
Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA)
Optimizing designs for cost-effective production via injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, or CNC machining, including draft angles and tooling considerations.
Thermal & EMI Management Integration
Designing features like vents, heat sinks, and internal mounting to ensure proper airflow for cooling and incorporating shields for electromagnetic compatibility.
Rapid Prototyping via 3D Printing
Bringing designs to life in hours using in-house FDM and SLA 3D printers for form, fit, and functional testing with various material properties.
Prototype Finishing & Post-Processing
Sanding, priming, and painting 3D-printed prototypes to achieve a near-production finish for client reviews, photography, or user testing.

THE KARSON PROCESS FOR ENCLOSURE PROJECTS
Our Integrated Design & Prototyping Process
Our enclosure development runs in parallel with electronic design to ensure perfect integration:

-
Concept & Requirements Alignment: We review electronic board dimensions, connector locations, thermal profiles, and IP requirements to establish mechanical constraints.
-
3D Modeling & Iteration: Industrial designers create 3D models. We iterate on aesthetics and function internally before sharing concepts.
-
Prototype, Test, Refine: We 3D print concepts for physical verification of fit with PCBs, button feel, and assembly. Feedback is incorporated into the CAD model.
-
Final Design for Production: The validated model is finalized for manufacturing, with all DFM/DFA optimizations, and 2D drawings are issued.

Designed for Experience, Engineered for Reality.
